Class 9 physics force and laws of the motion important questions

Force and law of motion
Important questions

Q1. What is force?
Ans. A push or pull on a body is called force
Example: Aperson push the door
             A boy kick the football

Q2. What is the effect of the force in object/ body
Ans.2 (I) a force can move the stationary object
(II) A force can stop a moving objects
(III) A force can change the speed of a moving objects
(IV) A force can change the direction of a moving body.
(V) A force can change the shape and size of a body

Q3. Define the balance force and unbalanced force

Ans3. Balance force : If the resultant of all the forces acting on a body is zero, the force is called balance force
Unbalanced force: If the resultant of all the forces acting on a body is not zero ,the force are called unbalanced force

Q4. Describe the Newton first law of motion

Ans.4 According to the first law of motion
A body at rest will remain at rest, and a body in motion will continue in motion ina straight line with a uniform speed, unless it
is compelled by an external force ti change  its state of rest or uniform motion

## heavier object have more inertia of a body

Examples : In which object have more intertia
1. Stone and rubber ball both have same volume
2. A train. And a car
3. Football and cricket ball

Ans: 1. Stone
   2. A train
   3. Football
Because this object have more mass than other

Q5.What is momentum ? And also write formula of the momentum

Ans 5. The quantity of the motion in a body depend on the mass and velocity of the body. This give us another term known as "momentum" the momentum of the body is depend as the product of its mass and velocity.
               Momentum= mass ×  velocity
                    P= m×v
It's SI unit of the momentum is kilograms meters per second
Which is written by kg.ms-¹

1. What is the momentum of a man mass 75 kg when he walk with a uniform velocity of 2m/s ?
 Solution:
                   We know that :
         Momentum: mass× velocity
              Mass: 75kg
          Velocity: 2m/s

      Momentum = 75×2 kg.m/s
                         = 150 kg.m/s

      150kg .m/s.  -   Ans
